We want every collector to be confident in their purchase from monsterstribe. This Refund Policy explains when refunds, returns, and exchanges are available, with special rules for blind boxes that reflect the nature of the product.

1. Eligibility window

You have 14 days from delivery to request a return for a refund or exchange. After 14 days, we are unable to accept returns.

To start a return, contact us at hello@monstertale.com with your order number and the reason.

2. Blind boxes — important industry-standard rule

Sealed blind boxes cannot be returned once opened. This is standard practice across designer-toy retailers worldwide, because:

  • Blind boxes are sold as a randomized mystery; opening reveals the contents.
  • Once opened, the box cannot be resold as sealed.
  • We cannot verify which specific figure was originally inside.

If you wish to return a blind box, it must be unopened, with all outer packaging, seals, and inserts intact.

We do not guarantee that you will receive any specific character, chase variant, or secret figure from a sealed blind box. Listed probabilities (where shown) reflect the manufacturer's published odds for the series.

3. Items eligible for refund or exchange

We will accept returns for the following reasons:

  • Damaged in transit — packaging or product damaged during shipping. Email photos within 7 days of delivery.
  • Wrong item shipped — the item you received does not match the SKU on your order.
  • Defective product — material defects not caused by normal use (e.g., paint missing, parts broken on arrival).
  • Sealed blind box, unopened — you changed your mind within 14 days.

4. Items not eligible

  • Opened blind boxes (see Section 2)
  • Items returned after the 14-day window
  • Items returned without original packaging or accessories
  • Custom modifications or display wear from use

5. Manufacturing variations

Designer toys are produced in small batches with hand-finishing on many series. Minor variations in paint, joint tightness, or surface finish are normal and not considered defects. We follow industry-standard tolerance.

6. Return shipping

  • For damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped items, monsterstribe pays return shipping. We will email you a prepaid label.
  • For change-of-mind returns of unopened sealed boxes, the buyer pays return shipping.
  • We recommend tracked shipping for any return. We are not responsible for returns lost in transit without tracking.

7. Refund processing

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5 business days.
  • Bank or card-network processing may add 3–10 business days before funds appear.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable except where monsterstribe is at fault.

8. Exchanges

For exchanges (e.g., damaged item replaced with the same SKU), we will ship the replacement within 3 business days after receiving the returned item, subject to stock availability. If we cannot replace it, you receive a full refund.

9. Order cancellations

You may cancel an order before it ships. Once an order is in our fulfillment queue (typically within 24 hours), we may not be able to cancel.

10. Authenticity guarantee

Every box is sourced through our verified supply chain and passes through Authentication Lab before shipping. If you ever receive a product you believe to be counterfeit, contact us immediately — we will fully refund and investigate the supply chain at our cost.
